Anh gia nhập AKB48 vào tháng 1 năm 2006 và đảm nhận vị trí đội trưởng mới của Đội A vào ngày 24 tháng 8 năm 2012. Trong cuộc tổng tuyển cử lần thứ năm vào ngày 8 tháng 6 năm 2013, anh sẽ tốt nghiệp AKB48.
